In the Compensation Court to-day £3OO was awarded to Mr S. Smith in a claim against the Government for damages to land at Helensville through taking off a portion for the purpose of the Kaipara railway.

The book bore the library stamp and a copy of the rules on the back, and was purchased by Wheatley with two others for a shilling.
