WELLINGTON. April 11,
By an Order in Council the close season for rock oysters in respect of the County of Coromandel, and the neighbouring foreshores, is extended to SlsfcDecember, 1889.
The resignation of the Hon. G. Fisher, Minister of Education and Commissioner of Trade and Customs, is gazetted ; also the appointment of Sir Harry Atkinson to the portfolios vacated.
The Hon. John William Fortesque is gazetted private secretary to the uctingGovernor.
The appointment of Mr John Blackett, C.E., to be consulting engineer in England to the Government of New Zealand, is also gazetted.
