Napier, Oct. 6. The attendance at I'.the course was much the same as yesterday,the weather is threatening, but so far no rain baa fallen and as on the previous day the complaints are confined to the defective railway arrangements, everything else being of a satisfactory character.

Expelled and Cardigan were the first to get away, and they maintained the lead past the Stand when the field closed up, and at the turn Musk Rose fell, and rolled over bis rider, Myers. At the back of the course Rivulet went up to Fardingale and Expelled dropped back. Coming into the straight Rivulet took the lead, winning easily by a length. Time—2mins. 19 4-stb secs.
