The press and the public in Canada are warmly supporting the proposed Imperial Institute. The Canadian Government Assemblies will vote contributions as well as tbe Dominion General Government.

In the Assembly last night the Colonial Treasurer stated the estimates of revenue not being realised there would be a deficiency at the end of the financial year of over two millions. He announced that Income and Land Tax Bills would be submitted to Parliament next session.
