THIS DAY. (By Telegraph.) Christchurch, March 12. This morning, Mr Boetbam, R.M., made an order for W. J. Messenger to contribute 25s a week toward the support of the family of bis son, W. H. Messenger, formerly landlord of His Lordship’s Larder, who left Christchurch some time ago ostensibly to go to tho Dunedin Races. It appeared afterwards that ha bad bolted with a barmaid from his hotel. He is supposed to be in Melbourne.
