GERALDINE.
The only case set down for hearing at the Geraldine E.M. Court on Monday was the interpleader one J. Watkins v, B. 11. Pearpoint, but it was settled, out of Court. The usual monthly meeting of the Good Templar Lodge was held on Monday night. After the asual routine business bad been disposed of the meeting was thrown open to the public, a great many availing themselves of the opportunity, Bro, G. Patrick W,C.T, occupied the chair, and after a few appropriate remarks introduced Bro, T. Sberratt who/ in his usual masterly style, gave the laughable reading “The Largest Swell I Know,” after which Miss Beokley sang “Kiss Me Mother" followed by Mr Thatcher who gave the “White Squall.” Mr Freeman’s song was loudly applauded. Miss B, Freeman then gave a recitation, after which refreshments were handed round. Mr Thatcher opened the second part of the proceedings with the song “ Woodman Spare That Tree," and Miss Maslin rendered very snccesfully the next song. Bro.W. Maslin brought the meeting to a close by proposing a vote of thanks to those who had kindly assisted, and urged upon all present to keep faithful to the pledge they had taken as the only safeguard was total abstinence. The meeting then broke np, after those present had spent an enjoyable evening-
