The Elderalie, an iron screw steamer or 3700 tone, built specially for the Zealand meat trade, was launched at Yarrow-on-Tyne the other day. Her dimensions are -800 ft long, and 40ft by 20ft in depth. She will be fitted with four powerful refrigerating engines by Haaiam, and with chambers capable of carrying 800 tons of frozen meat.
