Mr Sutton gave notice this afternoon that when Mr Steward’s amendment to the Address in Reply is before _ the House he will move a further addition to effect that in the opinion of the House it is extremely unlikely that any other Ministry could bo formed from the present House which would bo able to command a majority, and that therefore the House prays His Excellency to forward the estimates necessary to carry on the Government and thereafter, aud immediately dissolve the present Parliament. More UnemployedChbistciujhch, June 11. A deputation from the unemployed waited on the Mayor this morning, and His Worship saw Mr March, who sent an urgent telegram to Government requesting them to instruct the authorities at Addington to provide employment for those out of work. Municipal Reductions* Invercargill, June 11. The Town Council last night reduced the salary of the Clerk (who also acts as treasurer and valuer) from £4oi) a year to £350. Reductions were also made in the salaries of the Inspector of Nuisances, Foreman of Works, and Engineer.
