London, June 6, Archbishop Moran sails for Sydney on July 4th. The Sorata’s cargo of meat from Sydney has been partially sold at 5d per lb. It is proposed to organise a Committee of colonists to try and bring about a reduction in the warehousing and other charges on frozen meat. June 7.

Fresh batches of recidivistes are being forwarded to New Caledonia under much larger escorts than heretofore, so as to prevent their escape to Australia. The Agents-General are forwarding to their respective Governments Sir A. Clarke’s report on the Suez Canal. It advises the widening of the Canal. Nothing will bo definitely decided on the subject until October. Sir C. Gavan Duffy denies the authorship of the pamphlet attributed to him, and disclaims any intention of re-enter-ing political life, June 8.

It is reported that a severe battle has taken place at Berber, but with what result is not known.

The “ Pall Mall Gazette ” praises the financial prosperity of Victoria. A rupture is threatened, by Servia, of friendly relations with Bulgaria. The Belgian Government has appointed all the Australasian AgentsGeneral members of the Antwerp Exhibition Commission.

The leaders of the Orange party in Ireland have abandoned the idea of holding a meeting at Newry at the same time as the National meeting. Thousands of English Orangemen had proceeded to Ireland, threatening to move amendments at the National meeting.
