Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — Friday, Jan. 25. For United Kingdom (specially addressed correspondence only), and East and_ West Coast of South America, per Aorangi, Saturday, Jan. 26. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 2.50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30. For United Kingdom (to connect with Orient steamer at Melbourne) and Australian Colonies, per Tarawera, at 4 p.m. (Signed) Ed. Cook, Chief Postmaster. Ohief Post Office, Timaru, Jan., 21,1884.
