His Honor Mr Justice Johnston has signified his intention to attend the performance of the “ Pirates” to-morrow evening. Mr Goodall left Timaru to-day by the Express train, m route for Napier, where he has been engaged to design a harbor. He will be three weeks absent, and will make a survey and collect data. There should be a good attendance at the Tradesmen’s Races on Monday. In addition to the day being a public holiday) three special trains will leave for the course. The first race is advertised to start at 12 o’clock sharp. Attention is drawn to the Ship Hotel advertisement announcing cash prices for the Christmas and New Year seasons. As this hotel has a reputation for supplying first-class Wines and Spirits, the Proprietor should bo largely patronised during the festive season.
