Moftical. AN OLD ESTABLISHED AND pOPULAR lyj" EDI OIN E , Consumption, Coughs, Colds, Bronchitis, Asthma, Whooping Cough, Boro Throat, and all affections of the Chest and Throat, EFFECTUALLY RELIEVED & CURED BY BAXTER’S LUNG PRESERVER. TESTIMONIALS— The Rev J. Myers (ex-President of the United Methodist Free Church) writes : Hanover street, Leeds, March 25, 1872. I have pleasure in testifying how rapidly and effectually Baxter’s Lung Preserver has acted in allaying cough and irritation of the chest in the case of my wife, who has several times been under the necessity of using it during the winter. From Dr J. EWART, M.R.0.5.1., &c.— 1 am very much opposed to patent medicines generally, and totally discountenance the Balsams, Oxymels, Elixirs, Syrups, and other emanations of unprincipled empirics; but I regard your Lung Preserver as a really good preparation, entirely free from those qualities which render most patent medicines dangerous, and possessed of those tonic and stimulating properties which render it a treasure to those who suffer from the exhausting effects of pulmonary disease and chest affections generally. In cases of asthma it quickly cuts short the paroxyism. In chronic bronchitis or winter cough it is useful; the discharge of mucous is greatly assisted, and the wheezing and difficulty of breathing are greatly relieved by it. In acute bronchitis it is also beneficial, and whilst it tends to check inflammation, it promotes expectoration, and thus relieves the laborious and difficult breathing so general in these attacks. As a Cough Medicine, for persons of all ages, it is excellent, From Rev W. B. MARTEN, WESLEYAN MINISTER— Christchurch, August 2, 1872 Having suffered considerable annoyance during the past two years from hoarseness and affection of the throat, which at times rendered public speaking somewhat difficult and painful, I have since my arrival in this circuit (in April last) been induced to try your Baxter’s Lung Preserver, and I deem it only just to inform you that I have experienced great benefit from its use, being enabled to preach now with a degree of ease and comfort to which I had been some time a stranger As yet I have used but three bottles, but shall certainly recommend it to all who suffer in a similar manner You are at liberty to make what use you please of this communication From Rev SAMUEL SELLARS, MINISTER OF UNITED METHODIST FREE CHURCHES— For the sake of suffering humanity I record the following extraordinary cures, which have been effected by your valuable Lung Preserver —I know a gentleman in whom consumption had so far progressed that his medical man gave up his case as hopeless He, however, availed himself of yonr treatment, and, after taking a few bottles of your Lung Preserver, was so far recovered as to be able to resume his business, which he now regularly follows, without much inconvenience from either pain or weakness A Cough of many years’ standing The rev. writer of the above continues—“An aged lady of my acquaintance was for many years troubled with a chronic cough so severe that she seldom had an hour’s quiet sleep After spending nearly all her substance in medicine, she was persuaded to try your Lung Preserver,&o,which, under God’s blessing, soon cured her The Rev A Gilbert, U M Free Church Minister, Notingbam, late of Burslem, writes— One of our ministers, who is go ; to Eastern Africa, has been considerably enefitted by your medicine The Rev John Hirst, United Methodist Free Church Minister, Coburg street, Lees, writes December 21, 1863 — I have used your Lung Preserver in my Family with great success, and can highly recommend it as an effectual remedy, &o Mr Masserton Denton writes— Winsford, Sept 1, 1864 Dear Sir . .
