Intelligence is to hand of a serious revival of fanatical aggression among the native tribes in Central Asia. A large force of Turcomans is now threatening Meshed, a city in North Persia, containing 70,000 inhabitants. It is feared that an attack in force will shortly bo made. A disturbance has also occurred at Khokaha, were attacked by natives, who were, however, driven off, six of their number being killed.
