Mails clo3B at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under Tuesday, Dec. 4, For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 2.50 p.m, Wednesday, Deo. 5. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, and Sydney, per Hauroto, at 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wairarapa, at 6 a.m, Friday, Deo. 7. For Wellington, Westport, and Greymouth, per Mahinapua, at 6 a.m. Saturday, Deo 8, For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Hawea, at 6 a.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Takapuna, at 2 50 p.m.
A post-office has been opened at Sutherlands on Dec. Ist. Mails despatched at 6 a.m. and received at Timara at 7.50 p.m, The Waipara will leave Hokitika for West Coast Sounds on the 11th December. (Signed) Ed. Cook, Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Timaru, Dec.. 1,1883.
