CRICKET.
TIMAKU Y. GERALDINEA team from the Timaru Cricket Club, captained by Mr M. J. God by, visited Geraldine on Friday last, and played a match with eleven of the Geraldine Cricket Club, The Geraldine men had the first innings, which closed for 29, Timaru following made 74. In the second innings Geraldine made 63. Timaru won by 9 wickets. The ground being moist, prevented any big scoreu being made, but the play throughout was steady and effective.
