Gold Mining Extraordinary.

Thames, Nov. 3. The new Prince Imperial mine cleared up to-day, after a month’s run, for 2139 ounces of gold from 980 loads of general dirt and l3|cwt of specimens. This mine is now keeping a 62-head stamper constantly running.

The Governor, with Major Eccles, arrived here in the Hinemoa. FireInveboabgill, Nov. 3. A fire broke out in Hawthorndale Hotel, this morning, but was extinguished before much damage was done. The loss is covered by insurance in the Equitable Office. No Appearance. A case was to have been brought against the agent of Wright’s Directory for obtaining money under false pretences, but when called in Court, the prosecutor failed to appear, and the case was struck out.
