The following is a statement of the number of sacks of grain received in Timara from the undermentioned stations for the week ended May 12, 1883: Sacks. Ealing'?... ... ... 160; Bangitata ... ... 266 Oran ... ... ... 449 Winchester ... ... 1,376 Temuka ... ... 327 Soadown ... ... 568 Albory 960 Sutherlands 33 Cave ... 39 Point ... 996 Waitohi Road ,170 St. Andrews ... ~,1,196 Otaio ... 1,242 Makikihi 2,214 Hook ..; ... ... 60 Studholme Junction ... 50 Waimate 238 Total ... ... 10,344 Brought forward 116,345 Total to date ...125,689’ The total quantity of grain carried on the Camara section of railways for this season up to and including Saturday, was 174,238 sacks. The number of bags left standing at the various stations was 2100. The total quantity carried up to the corresponding period of last year was 123,054, thuashowing a balance in favor of this season of 51,180 bags.
