In the matter of Duncan McGallum, of the Tambour Major Opera Company, the application for annulling bankruptcy proceedings was referred to by Judge Johnston this morning in Chambers, His Honor held that the Court had jurisdiction and the bankruptcy proceedings taken in Wellington should be set aside unless a waiver of irregularity was proved. Mr Joynt, for the bankrupt, asked time for further argnment. The application was adjourned for a week. Shipping--Oamaru, April 13. A fire broke out early this morning in the grocery shop of George Harrington, in the Arcade. The premises were completely destroyed. The stock was insured for £IOO in the Hamburgh office, and the building in the Standard - and Union offices.
