LATE BRITISH AND FOREIGN NEWS.
The French Squadron left Hong Kong on route for Tonquin. Additional troops tire to be sent to Tonquin with a view to the permanent occupation of certain portions of that country. Sir William McArthur has presented to the House of Commons a petition signed by 600,000 Wesleyans in favor of the closing of hotels on Sunday.
