The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company reports of the local grain market as follows : —Wheat is very flat at 5s 3d to 5s 4d ; malting barley is quieter at 6s 3J to 5s Gd ; New Zealand oats is in fair demand, feed oats being worth 2s lOd to 3s 2d, and milling sorts 3s 2d to 3s 4d ; New Zealand oafs, uuder bond, are slow of sale at 2s 3d to 2s 3d.
