MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, lor the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — Thursday, March 22. For United Kingdom, via Me.bourne and Australian Colonies, per Tarawera, at 6 a.m. Saturday, March 24. For United Kingdom, via Melbourne and Australian Colonies, per Wanaka, at 250 p.m. For United Kingdom’ vlfi, San Francisco Monday, March 26. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wakatipu, at 6 a.m. All mails for despatch on Friday, 24th inst. (Good Friday), will close on Thursday, 23rd, at 8 p.m. A delivery will be made at the counter from 7 to 8 on Thursday evening. On March 26 (Easter Monday) Chief Post-offices will be open as usual, but country offices and telegraph offices will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. only. (Signed) Ed.
