Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as undar : Wednesday, March 21. For Vnitcd Kingdom, vii Melbourne and Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana, at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 22, For United Kingdom, vid Me.bourne and Australian Colonies, per Tarawera, at 6 am. Saturday, March 24. For United Kingdom, vid Melbourne and Australian Colonies, per Wanaka, at 2 50 p.m. For United Kingdom’ vid Fan Francisco Monday, March 26. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wakatipu, at 6 a.m. On March 23 (Good Friday) all Post* offices will be closed. The telegraph offices will be open from 9to 10 a.m., and 7 to 8 p.m. On March 26 (Easter Monday) Chief Post-offices will be open as usual, but Country offices and telegraph offices will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. only.
