Mails close at tho Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under-: Monday, March 19. For Napier, Gisborne, Tauranga, and Auckland, per Omapere, at 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 20. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 2.50 p.m. Wednesday March 21. For United Kingdom, vid Melbourne and Australian Colonies, per Eptomahana, at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 22. For United Kingdom, vift Melbourne and Australian Colonies, per Tarawera, at 6 a.m. Saturday, March 24. For United Kingdom, vid-Melbourne and Australian Colonies, per Wanaka, at 2 60 p.m. For United Kingdom’ via San Francisco Monday, March 26. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wakatipu, at 6 a.m. On March 23 (Good Friday) all Postoffices will be closed. The telegraph’ offices Will be open from 9to 10 a.m., and 7 to 8 p.m. On March 26 (Easter Monday) Chief Post-offices will be open as usnal, but country offices and telegraph offices will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. only.
