MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Friday, March 16. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New Fouth Wales and Queensland, per Wairarapa, at 6 n.m. Saturday, March 17. .For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.50 p.m. For Westport, Oreymonth and Hokitika, per Mahinapua, at 6 a.m. On March 23 (Good Friday) all Postoffices will .be closed. The telegraph offices will be open from 9to 10 a.m., and 7 to 8 p.m. On March 26 (Easter Monday) Postoffices will be open as usual, but telegraph will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. only.
