MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Friday, March IG. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New South Wales and Queensland, per Wairarapa, at 6 a.m, Saturday, March 17. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.50 p.m. For Westport, Greymouth and Hokitika, per Mahinapna, at 6 a.m. On March 23 (Good Friday) all Postoffices will he closed. The telegraph offices will be open from 9 to 10 a.m., and 7 to 8 p.m. On March 26 (Easter Monday) Postoffices will be open as usual, but telegraph will be open from 9 to 10 a.m., and 7 to 8 p.m.only.
