DISMISSAL OF A STATE SCHOOL TEACHER IN VICTORIA.
At the meeting of the Executive Council on Monday 27th ult, Mr Webb; senior male teacher at the Albert-park School,* 1,181, wa;B dismissed, from the service. As has been previonaly mentioned, he placed in the hands of some> of the boys of the 6tb class at the examination, popybppka which were not their 'Own. ‘ The; report 'of ■ the '-head teacher, Mr James -Smith, indicated, that six boys bad been induced topresent these copies, and Mr Inspector Tynan said that “Mr Webb standa aelfconfessed as the perpetrator of one* of the most : serious * moral* offences a teacher eouldbe guilty of,' an offence not only ivolving personal dishonesty on part, but. also an attempt to corrupt the morals of boyaof previously unimTeachable; character.’’ , .
