Hew Plymouth, August 29.

Further information re the missing boat which left for Manakauis to hand. She was seen about two miles to the north of the mouth of Mokau river. She had only one man in her named Herman Albert Wiltke, a German. He was seen making for the beach on the north side of the river and a party went across to his assistance, bat before they got to the spot the boat got capsized and the man was drowned. The boat was washed upon the beach,and as the clothes of Wiltke were found in the bottom of the boat, he had evidently tried to swim ashore, but the sea was too heavy for him.
