His Excellency the Governor presided at a meeting which was hold this evening for the purpose of organising a Musical Festival Association on the model of those . held periodically at Worcester and Gloucester, England. Sailed, this afternoon—Union Company’s s.s. Ringarooma, for Auckland. Return Of UlyssesSir Henry Parkes arrived here to-day and was accorded an enthusiastic reception. The Mayor presented him with an address of welcome. A banquet in his honor .was held this evening at the Exhibition buildings, and was a great success.
