London, August 13. The removal of Baron do Lesseps from the Presidency of the Sues Canal is probable, and it is likely that he will be.; succeded either by the present English Consul-General in Egypt, Mr B. B. Malet, C. 8., or the British Viceconsul, Mr Raphael Borg. The Turkish Press has been warned not to comment on the delay in landing the Porte’s troops in Egypt. [Red tee’s Agenct], Alexandria, August 13. Tiie Coldstream and Grenadier Guards have been quartered at the Royal Palace at Ramleh, near this city. A body of rebel Egyptian troops, commanded by Arab! in person, made an advance to-day against Fort Mex. Their approach was, however, detected by the outposts, and a body of British troops from the fort was despatched against them. The enemy was repulsed without difficulty, and retreated to the interior. Constantinople August 13. The proposed military convention between the British Government and the Porte, a draft of which was laid before the Conference by Lord Dafferin yesterday has not yet been completed, and notwithstanding the concession which the British Government has offered with;' regard to the command of the Ottoman troops in Egypt, the Porte is still disinclined to accept the convention, and further negotiations are expected to take place. ’
