THIS DAY. [“Age” Special.] London, July 25. Sir Charles Dilke stated in the House of Commons to-day that the Porte had agreed to send troops to Egypt, and that the conditions of occupation would be disclosed by the Conference to-morrow. It is reported that one of the murderers of Lord Cavendish and Mr Burke has been arrested in America, and that he has confessed to having committed the crime. An attempt has been made on the life of Signor Sagasta, the Spanish Premier* by sending a dynamite infernal machine to him. Several arrests have been made in connection with the affair. July 26, 6.12 a.m. Earl Kimberley’s appointment to the Duchy of Lancaster is temporary, and he still retains the office of Secretary for the Colonies. It is notified that Italy accepts the invitation of the Powers to co operate in the protection of the Suez Canal. The bodies of Crawford and Bacan have been re-interred at Wigan. An Indian contingent of 5000 men is mobilsing.
