Hector McLean, who was in attendance at the Court, indulged so persistently in muttering, that he had to be taken into "custody, and fined 10s for contempt o£ Court. BREACH OF BOROUGH BY-LAWS. —Aikrno (a celestial) for leaving his vehicle unattended, John Carroll, for driving without proper reins, and Thos. Quirk, for having no reins, were oa*h fined 40s. A. 0, G. Stone, for having a horse at large, was fined Ov, Andrew Wilson, for having pigs at » largo, was fined 10s. Hector McLean, for having cattle at large, was fined 201? assault. Eli Mitchell was charged by Henry Nicholson with assault. The case was adjourned to Juno 6. CIVIL CASES. In the following cases judgment was givenJEor plaintiffs for amount claimed with costs : Mnnro v, Hughes, £4 12s 9d; Miles v. Gpddes, £l3. Clarkson v. Brown £l3 4s . Houston v.
