MAGISTERIAL.
TEMUKA—YESTERDAY. [Before J. Beswick, Esq., RM.] ASSAULT. Constable Burke and Martin Dunn were charged by J. Mularky with assaulting him. On the application of the prosecutor’s counsel (Mr Austin) the case was adjourned till next Court day. CIVIL CASES. F. Franks v. A. Grant, claim £l3. Dr Foster for plaintiff, Mr White for defendant. This was a claim for the value of a cow released from the Temuka Pound by defendant, and afterwards sold by him. After hearing evidence the case was adjourned for 14 days.
[Before S. D, Barker, and J. Mendelson, Bsqrs.) STRAY CATTLE. Several people were lined for allowing cattle to wander at large. CIVIL CASES. R. Latimer v. F. Oldfield, claim £2 Is Bd.
Judgment for plaintiff for £1 14s 6d. F, Edgeworth v. Kakaro, claim £2lss, Jndgment for £2 10s and costs.
