Public Notices v- »• BALE OF PASTORAL LEASES 01 CROWN LANDS. PRELIMINARY NOTICE, General .Crown Lands Office, Wellington,'7th Nov.,'lßßl. THREE MILLION ACRES of Crow: lands will shortly be open for sal and lease in the Provincial District o Otago, New Zealand. This country is at present held unde lease in large runs until the Ist Marcl: 1883. These runs, after agricultural blocks townships, plantation and other reserve; have been taken, will be sub-divided ini areas of about two or three thousand acre and upwards, according to the nature o the country, and will be offered for leas •r for sale on pastoral deferred-payment la terms of " The Land Act, 1877,” am •• The Land Act Amendment Act, 1879.” The agricultural blocks will be forthwitl surveyed, and will then be offered fo selection on immediate and deferred pay ■tents. Areas exceeding 6,000 acres, will be 1c aa tuns for ten years, from the Ist March 1883, with pre-emptive right over 32< acres for homestead. Areas under 5,000 acres will be general!; for sale on pastoral deferred payments. The pastoral deferred payment section; will be offered for sale by public auctioi probably in November or December, 1882 possession on March 1, 1863. Terms; I deposit of one-thirtieth of the price of thi land on purchase, the balance in half yearly payments extending over fifteei years. Residence within twelve months ii compulsory, and must continue for fiv, years. Balance of instalments may b< paid at end of ten years, in which cast Crown grant issues, The country has been occupied for up wards of twenty years. It is well grassed well watered, sound and healthy. Distance from port by good roads, ant railways part of the way, from 80 to 15( miles.
