[By Cable], ALL ENGLAND V. AUSTRALIA. Melbourne, Deo. 31. The cricket match between the English team and the combined team of Australia was commenced here to-day. The weather was fine, and the attendance very large, A capital wicket was pitched, and the ground was in good order. The Englishmen went in first, and their innings closed for 294. The match was resumed to-day, and vdien the stumps were drawn the Australians had put together in their first innings 277 runs for the loss of only six wickets, as against 294 of the Englishmen’s first innings, Horan is not out for 106, Murdoch scored 69, Banncrman 38, and Giffien 30. The weather to-day was fine but cold, and the attendance was again very large. It is expected that the match will bo drawn.
