The barque Cumbria, which left Timaru on August 22, for Falmouth, arrived on the 26th inst. The ste \rners Westporb and Waitaki were berthed at the wharf this morning, and took up most of the available accommedation it affords. The strong nor’wester blowing kept their fenders under a constant heavy pressure, but they lay quietly and work was carried on without much inconvenience. They could not have got away, though while the wind continued blowing, no matter how much they had desired it.
