General Crown Lands Office, Wellington, 7th Nov., 1881, THREE MILLION ACRES of Crow] lands will shortly be open for sal and lease in the Provincial District o Otago, New Zealand. This country is at present held unde lease in large runs until the Ist Marcl 11883. These runs, after agricultural block* townships, plantation and other reserve have been taken, will be sub-divided infc areas of about two or three thousand acre and upwards, according to the nature o the country, and will be offered for leasi or for sale on pastoral deferred-payment in terms of " The Land Act, 1877," an< " The Land Act Amendment Act, 1879." The agricultural blocks will be forthwitl surveyed, and will then be offered fo selection on immediate and deferred pay ments. Areas exceeding 5,000 acres, will be Ie as runs for ten years, from the Ist March 1883, with pre-emptive right over 32< acres for homestead. Areas under 5,000 acres will be generallj for sale on pastoral deferred payments. In order to give new pastoral lesaeei time to make arrangements,, thej license will, in terms of the Land Acts, be sold b] public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin in the latter end of February, 1882, twelv( months before possession is to be given One year's rent will be payable in advanc< on the license at the time of sale. The pastoral deferred payment section! will be offered for sale by public auctioi probably in November or December, 1882 possession on March 1, 1883. Terms: £ deposit of one-thirtieth of the price of th< land on purchase, the balance in half yearly payments extending over fifteei years. The country has been occupied for up wards of twenty years. It is well grassed, well watered, sound and healthy. Distance from port by good roads, anc railways part of the way, from 30 to 16( miles. Maps and further particulars will bi obtainable at the Land Offices of Nev Zealand early in December next, and ai places in the Australian Colonies to bi named in future advertisements. Suitable blocks of land will also b< surveyed immediately in the Provincial District of Canterbury, for sale on pastoral deferred payment, and will be offered foi sale about March, 1882. WM.
