General Crown Lands Office, Wellington, 7th Nov., 1881, THREE MILLION ACRES of Crow] lands will shortly be open for sal and lease in the Provincial District o Otago, New Zealand. This country is at present held unde lease in large runs until the Ist Marcl 11883. These runs, after agricultural block* townships, plantation and other reserve have been taken, will be sub-divided infc areas of about two or three thousand acre and upwards, according to the nature o the country, and will be offered for leasi or for sale on pastoral deferred-payment in terms of " The Land Act, 1877," an< " The Land Act Amendment Act, 1879." The agricultural blocks will be forthwitl surveyed, and will then be offered fo selection on immediate and deferred pay ments. Areas exceeding 5,000 acres, will be Ie as runs for ten years, from the Ist March 1883, with pre-emptive right over 32< acres for homestead. Areas under 5,000 acres will be generallj for sale on pastoral deferred payments.
