[Reutee’s Agency.] Terrible Railway Catastrophe In Scotland. London, Dec. 30. —During a heavy gale a portion of the Tay bridge was destroyed. A train proceeding from Edinburgh to Dundee, while crossing the bridge shortly afterwards, fell through the casing of the bridge into the river. An enormous loss of life ensued. Although exact particulars are not 'yet received, it is feared the loss of life will be 200 persons drowned. A Bereaved Pilgrim. The Empress Eugenic proceeds to Zulu-land in February. Chinese Infamy for the Colonies. The Bowen has arrived at Cooktown. It has transpired at Hong Kong that the police have been in the habit of shipping criminals to Australia at the rate of 40 at a time.
