The Well-known Thoroughbred Horse, U Y FAUX, By Eavensworth, out of Fidget ; Ravensworth, by Touchstone, out of Fair Jean, by Veruiam, Ac., Ac., ; Fidget by Sir Hercules, out of Flirt, by Leading Article, Ac., Ac. Guy Faux is a dark brown, standing 16 hands. Was one of the fastest and most constant horses over any distance that ever performed on the New Zealand turf, and as a proof of his soundness and constitution that from two years old to six he was scarcely ever out of work. Guy Faux will travel as follows : Mondays North road, via Ohoka, to Anderson’s stables, Rangiora. Tuesdays—Ashley Bank and Sefton. Wednesdays—Ambcrely. Thursdays Returning home through Leithfield, Saltwater Creek, Wcodcnd, and Kaiapoi. Fridays Papanui and Riccarton in Millett and Griffith’s (late Page’s) stables. Saturdays—Leave Christchurch for home via Bingsland. Terms—£s 3s, payable on or before Jan. 1, 1880 ; thoroughbred mares, £lO 10s Groom’s fee, ss. Good paddocking at 2s per week. OIRE —Kilbowic is a pure-bred Clydesdale, rising eight years old, of splendid symmetry and action. Ho is by old Surprise which was first as a two-year-old at Johnston Cambusling, Ac., anil twice gained the prize for the best stallion at the Glasgow Society’s Shows to travel in the district. He also gained the Highland Society’s first prize at Inverness, and other 2)rizcs to travel as a stallion. Kilbowie’s dam also gained many prizes. Kilbowie gained the firstatDrymen, as a two-year-old and first at Stirlingshire Shows. Kilbowic was purchased from the well-known breeder, M. David Riddel, Kilbowic, and has been purchased by the Governor of late, at a high price. Pedigkkio —King of the Ring is a beautiful bay, rising five years and six months old by Kilbowie, bred by John Teethewie, Esq., and is one of the best grown colts of his age in the colonies ; he is a fine bay, standing 17 hands high, with immense bone and substance. His dam, Blossom, by Lincolnshire Hero, imported by R. Kermode, Esq., was winner of eleven first prizes. Grand dam Darby, by Black Champion, imported by Clark, Esq., g g dam Prince imported by J. W. Gleadow, Ksq., g g g dam by Lincoln, imported by the late Dr. Wilmorc, g g g g dam by Hussar, imported by T. Scott, Esq. King of the Ring is acknowledged by the best of judges to be the grandest cart colt of his age in the colonies, and is full of the best blood in the world, and will, without doubt, make a fine breeder of cart stock. King of the Ring has been first twice Midland and Hobart Town. Any mares changing owners to he paid for by the persons engaging them to the horse.
