Wagen Treiber, Vicar ot Benshaw, who left /508, included the following remarkable- passage in his will • "I commend my widow and'daughter to the beneficence of the Bishop of Manchester and the Board o Finance, reminding them ot my forty years' service, starved and poverty-ridden, in the diocese.
