Tenders for Purchase of Cocoanut Plantation is Tonga.

Tedders are invited by tfie. Pnblic Trustee of the Dominion; of New Zealand for the purchase, as.agoing concern, of one of the finest cocoanut plantations in the Kingdom of i Toriga. The plantation c<.ntair s 390 acres held unaVr I a«Hs, at a I9W rental, from the King ot Tonga, expiring in 1961 and 1964. It is in t«.vo blocks containing 120 acres and 270 acres situated respectively 6 and 7 miles from Nukualofa Wharf by srood metalled road. Of the former block ab >ut 60 acres are planted and the balance is cleared and grassed with Rhodes grass providing excellent grazing for cattle. The whole of the 270 acre block has tern planted with the maximum number of trees per acre A considerable proportion of the trees are already in full bearing and the remainder aie rapi ly becom-Copra-producing. The bui'dings comprise a 6 roomed dwelling, detached kitchen, cart shed, copra shed, wiih slidi g shelves, and a Tongan house for labourers. The buildings are the property ol tin lessee. The whole ofLthe stock and implements on the property are to be with the plantation These comprise about 90 cattle, 6 horses and all implements and vehicles necessary for the efficient working of the plantation. The plantation is exceeding-. ly well fenced and contains a number of subdivisions. There are seven wells and a windmill on the property.
