WEDDING

GITTOS—GRIM MER

A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Gbureh, Warkworth, on Wednesday, Dec. 20th, when Amy Edith, youngest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr F. J. .Grimmer,' of Dome Valley, was married to Arnold William, elder son of Mr and Mrs E. Gittos, also of Dome Valley. Rev. D. Hickman performed, the cereinoViy, and the Church had been tastefully decorated by friends with hydrangeas and' roses, and streamers in shades of blue and roaelvMCv!1 '■■■'' ''■

The bride who entered the Church with her brother, MiTrevor Grimmer, wore a graceful gown of magnolia satin, modelled on slim-fiiting lines, with long sleeves, short petal-shaped train, heart-snape(i: neckline and softly shirred corsage finished with a spray of;- orange blossom. : Her veil of embroidered tulle was arranged off the face from a halo head-dress, s t and she carried a beautiful bouquet composed of St. Joseph l iiliea; carnations, and orange blossom with maiden-hair fern.'.--: ' \p:° ::Y"; ;/.■'.":: ■ i ",: ' ..•■.:.■ '■■'. ' -In" attendance as; bridgemaids were Miss- Jean Morrisoni weaving anaiikle-length frocjc of blue embossed crepe ; and Misses Dorothy, .Grimmer and Judith Taylor who were dresse«d alike: in long frocks of pink organdie. All three bridesmaids wore headdresses of, pink and blue flowers and carried posies of sweet peas, carnations and delphiniums in the same tones, with maiden-hair fern. Cain with hat to match. She carried a sh#af of crimson roses. AssistingJier were Mr and Mrs E. Gittos, the bridegroom's mother wearing a frock of navy floral sheer, with navy lace* coat, and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of flowers to match. Among those present were:—-. Goodall. , ', The bride and bridegroom who were the recipients of many beautiful presents, left during the afternoon on a motor tour of the Rotorua district, the bride travelling in a coronation gold ensemble, with hat and accessories of rust brown. ■ v-.
