WHANGARIPO VALLEY.

The residents of the valley met in the hall lust Thursday, night for the purpose of electing a Hall Committee for the ensuing year. The following were elected : —Chairman, Mr W. Fyfe ; committee, Messrs L. Pefcrie, L. Came and M. Wood ; secretary, Mr A. Bell. A social committee is to he formed later.
Several matters of local interest wore discussed recently, and definite arrangements have been made for tho forming of a ping-pong club. Arninittinsuts were iv.sule for a grand opening night, when a large number of players are expected from L'aldri and Leigh. The committee are Messrs S. Game, L. Pefcrie, L. Came and M. Wood.
Mr and Mrs Davis are spending the school holidays in Auckland.
