A good story comes from China which would seem to point to the fact that John Chinaman has assimilated some Western ideas on "the virtues of the art of medicine. "John," this particular specimen was asked, "do you have good doctors in China?"
"Gbod doctors!" lie exclaimed. "China have best doctors in world. Hang Chang good doctor, for instance; he great, he saved my life." "You don't say so! How was that?" "Me velly bad," he said. "Me callee Doctor Han Kon. Give some medicine. Get velly, velly ill. Me callee Doctor San Sing. Give more medicine. Me grow worse—going to die. Blimebly callee Doctor Hang Chang. He no got time; no come. He saved my life."
