The missing- words in the following verse consist of the same six letters:
"You want a puzzle, little maid? A simple one I'll give," said he. "If one costs just a penny4piece, What will a dozen be ?"
She worked away with air, An answer wrong soon to produce. "I thought 'twas that you said!" She gave as her excuse!
Answer.—The three missing words are: lemons, solemn, and melons.
