SAFE AT A DISTANCE
Youthful Eugene came rushing in to his grandmother, exclaiming: "Dick is away till Gurthern till git shot-fur Christmas." The grandmother, quite alarmed at this information, sought her daughter with a view to obtain fuller details.
Mother: "Ach, is id thet gomach Eugene. Oi suppose ye tought Dick wus goin' fur doin' some koind of harm; shure, he's more harmless shot thin inywan Oi know iv in the county."
Grandmother: "Is id hail or bullits yer spaekin' iv, chile dear?"<
Mother : "Tut, tut! Don't be alarmin' yirsilf; shure, naythir ov thim is dangerous whin they nivir touch yez at all."
