Earache in children may generally be,quickly relieved by filling a flannel bag with hops, wringing ifc out in hot vinegar. a<; hot as can be borne, and laying it over the child's ear. Then cover the whole side of face with dry flannel, and chang« the hop bag as soon as becor i.~s rooJ. The warm steam filling the ear soon relieves the pain. 124
