Washington, June 24 Mr Jones, chairman of Merchant Marine Committee, has sent a letter to Mr Colby, Secretary of State, in which he states: fe“Peraaventnre. I donht within five years neither upon tho North Atlantic nor the Pacific will there be a fishing vessel under the American flag should the proposed fisheries treaty between the United States and Britain be adopted. It would give Canadian-fishing-vessels preferential privileges in United Sates ports, including freedom from port dues.”
