A mass meeting of the A.S.R. S. members was held at the lunch hour to day to discuss the remarks by Mr Ewen McGregor, president of the Executive of the P.P. A., during his is address to that organisation on Monday evening. When speaking of the industrial situation, he is reported to have said that the railway strike was enginereed by disloyal people who wanted to belittle the Prince. The railwaymen to-day unanimously decided “That this large meeting of the Eastown railway employees enter empathic protest against such a slander on the rails waymen, and our Executive in particular, who called the men out after a secret ballot bad been taken and 94 per cent of the members themselves had voted to cease work. Also, we call upon Mr McGregor to inform us if he was speaking in his official capacity as president of the Executive of the P.P. A. or as a pria vate individual.
