At the Wimbledon tennis championships. in the second round, Doust beat Hardy, Garland beat Winslow (South Africa), Tildon beat Framklin, Kingscoto beat Inman, Schleurlcer (Holland) beat Misu, Drew beat Max Doougis. In the third round Shimidzu beat Gobert G—4, 10 —S, 4 6,2 _6, 6 4. Shimidzu showed superiority m long driving and beautiful crosscoiut strokes. Brugmor beat 1 Laurentz, Mavrogordato beat Davson. In the mixed doubles, first round, Mademoiselle Lenglen and Patterson beat Miss Lance and Roper Barrett Q 3 ; 6 —o.
