BULLS NOTES.

From Our Own Correspondent The annual meeting of liaugitikei Defence Rifle Club was held in the Racing Club’s Olfice on Monday evening. There was a good attendance. During the year 31 members have completed their class firing. The ’much-coveted I’Levin Cup was again won by Mr C P Broughton; the same member also won Mr E O Gaisford’s rose bowl for class firing. Four matches were fire i with Feilding Club, the home team winning all four. The treasurer reported that the Club was in a very good financial position the credit balance being in the vicinity of £4O. The miniature shooting, through nonsupport of members, has not had a fair test during the season However, it has paid its way and has a credit balance of 17s (id The rifle presented by Mr H Webb for the best lady shot was won by Miss Wilcox, with a grand total of 1104 points for 20 shoots The Anderson Cup was won by Mr A Phillips Having won same twice in succession it now becomes his property The following donations were received for competition among boys under the age of 17 years.—Gold medal from Mr E C Gaisford, silver medal from Messrs J J Mansell and A Phillips, and 80s from Mr R Chiicott. Election of officers: Patron, Mr K A Wilson; president, Mr J J Mansell; treasurer, Sir J McMinn; secretary, Mr Pearson; handicapper, Mr D Bromley; auditors, Messrs Ralte and Broughton. Committee- J Danks, O Broughton, Aohn, W Davidson and P Richardson. Mr A Phillips, who is leaving the district, tendered his resignation as secretary. During the evening he was presented with a travelling companion in recognition of past services. Mr D Bromley, the Club’s popular handicapper, was the recipient of a Loewe pipe for his energetic work during the season. The subscription for the coming season was fixed at Os per year. .Mr H Webb was made a life member of the Club.

The secretary was instructed t o write Mr E Levett, who relinquished his position as treasurer, thanking him for |;his past services. A new Miniatnre'Olub was formed—J Danks captain, J J Mansell treasurer, and T Fraser secretary. Annual sub-" scrip tiou 2s 6d.
